What can I do?
Reduce heat loss by closing curtains at dusk
Put foil behind the radiators on outside walls
Only use as much detergent as you need, particularly when using concentrated liquids or powders
Don't believe the hype! Lots of us haven't used public transport for years. Some services will have improved a great deal since you last used them - give it a whirl!
Make a shopping list to avoid buying things you don't need
Choose items with minimal packaging, with packaging that can be recycled
Take a cloth bag with you when you go shopping
Keep to the speed limit! It's safer and less polluting
Park in the shade if possible - the sun on a hot engine increases emissions
Consider public transport if you don't already
